First Impressions
Appearance
As an angel, experiencing Castiel's true form (be it is face or his voice) can result in blindness, deafness, or even death, as the appearance of his natural visage is so overwhelming that it is capable of burning human or demon eyes from their sockets. However, certain "special people" are able to tolerate his true appearance and voice.After being promoted to seraph, Castiel described himself as a "multidimensional wavelength of celestial intent" and his true form as "approximately the size of your Chrysler Building." There is no canon depiction of his true form, though the mere image of it was enough to send Crowley fleeing in fear of being smited. I myself favor a sort of friendly eldritch horror model, like this, this or this.
He has wings (at least two, perhaps as many as six), but only their shadow is visible to humans in this plane of reality. If you could see them, you would know that they were made from a combination of black iridescent feathers, pure energy, the concept of midnight, and glowing blue eyes.
As a human, Castiel looks like a cute single dad and dresses like a tax accountant.
Castiel has taken on the form and appearance of his last vessel, Jimmy Novak, who is a handsome guy, about 5'10," and in his late 30s. He often has messy or rumpled hair, permanent dark circles under his eyes, and five o'clock shadow that doesn't seem to respond to shaving.
Fashion
What fashion? Castiel has exactly one outfit, and he really never takes it off. Since his introduction, Castiel has worn the same trench coat, black boots, black suit, white dress shirt and black leather belt every single day, unless some element became so damaged that he has to replace rather than restore it.There was a brief time where he tried a single breasted trench coat and a striped tie, but even that turned out to be too much of a departure to be sustainable.
Demeanor & Attitude
Perhaps because Jimmy Novak didn't get a good night's sleep the day Castiel took him as a vessel, Castiel always seems tired, possibly of everybody's bull shit. With his gravelly voice and deadpan manner, Castiel sometimes gives off the impression that he hasn't slept in years, and burn out is setting in.In part, this is due to the differences between human and angelic emotional expression. Like most angels, Castiel shows little emotion, and can offer appear detached or like is struggling to understand and connect with what is being said to him. But he doesn't show the same blank apathy or mocking superiority that seem to characterize other angels like Uriel or Lucifer.
Likewise, Castiel's manner can come off as awkward or strange, as if he were raised in a bubble and still doesn't quite understand how to relate to people. But he usually comes across like he's trying, and he looks calm and approachable, which tempers the intensity of his overall vibe somewhat.
Voice
Here is a selection of voice clips of Castiel in a variety of situations.Cas speaks with a low, gravelly voice and (typically) a flat, deadpan delivery. He sometimes gentles his tone, especially when speaking to Jack or someone else who might need compassion or sympathy. But another common variant is Castiel being completely exhausted by the simple act of existing.
Magic & Telepathy
Castiel is a seraph, and himself has significant psionic and magical abilities. In the Supernatural canon, these powers only worked on humans and lesser angels. So it's likely that only very powerful beings would be able to tap into Castiel's mind.But he is not entirely immune to magical interference. He can be trapped, banished or otherwise manipulated by Enochian magic. Dean was once able to summon him. A powerful psychic was able to command him to show her his true face (much to her ultimate regret). And a powerful witch was able to use a spell to manipulate his behavior, causing him to attack people unprovoked.
Basically, what you would get from Castiel depends on your power level. A powerful or highly skilled magic user could likely manipulate him. A very powerful psychic or telepath could likely gain some information from him, but would encounter significant obstacles. And the payoff would probably just be a constant stream of Castiel wondering what the Winchesters are up to and when Beyoncé's going to drop her next album.

- Open To: m/m preferred, but open to m/f pairs if there's chemistry. I don't think gender really matters to him conceptually, and he's demonstrated some degree interest in woman, but he's only ever loved a man.
